March 17, 2020

Dear Conneaut Families,

During our extended Spring Break, I wanted to provide you and your child with a list of free websites and apps to access that will address your child's specific needs. These apps and sites will help them to continue practicing the skills they have learned so far this year. Please stay safe and well! Any questions, please email me at: ccronin@cacsk12.org    Have fun with these activities with your child/children!  Stay safe and well!

Sincerely,

Cindy Cronin, MA, CCC-SLP

FLUENCY

Practice fluency strategies that you have been taught: “turtle”/slow speech, good eye contact, proper breath support, say your thoughts in “chunks” or phrases- don’t talk until you run out of air.

  1. Read stories out loud to yourself or family members using your strategies.
  2. Have a conversation with various people in your family using your strategies.
  3. Play board games with your family.
  4. Use any of the websites listed in the Articulation and Language sections appropriate for your age.
  5. Don't forget to self-monitor your speech by listening to how you talk. Judge "thumbs up" for "no bumps" and "thumbs down" if "bumpy".
