The GRAMMY music foundation has announced that Conneaut educator Susan Trost has been named a quarterfinalist for national Grammy Music Educator of the year. Further updates on this award will be announced in September.
On a personal note from Ms. Trost:
This was a very surprising acknowledgement, and as such I need to underline the great work being done by the entire music department in Conneaut--every teacher in the department is accomplishing great things in their programs; the administrators, Boosters, and parents which help turn our goals into realities; and the amazing students that we are privileged to teach.
