🎃 Tomorrow is "SAY BOO to DRUGS" day! 👻 Students can celebrate the final day of Red Ribbon Week by wearing their school-appropriate Halloween costumes on Friday 10/31. Remember, costumes should be comfortable for a full day of learning and shouldn't include masks, weapons, or anything too scary for our youngest friends. What a spooktacular way to wrap up our week of drug prevention awareness! Can't wait to see all the creative costumes tomorrow! 🧙♀️ 🦸♂️ 🧟♀️

~ Gateway Elementary Honors Patriot Day ~
Today, Gateway Elementary paused to remember and reflect on the lives lost on September 11th. A heartfelt display was set up to honor the victims, and students gathered to hear a thoughtful summary of that tragic day. A moving poem was read by our students, followed by a moment of silence and the solemn playing of "Taps" to conclude the tribute. We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙 #PatriotDay #NeverForget #GatewayStrong

We want to make our families and community members aware of a concerning social media trend known as the TikTok Chromebook Challenge. This challenge encourages students to intentionally damage school-issued Chromebooks—often by trying to short them out using metal objects—under the influence of viral content.
We take this matter very seriously. Not only does this behavior result in the destruction of valuable school property, but it also poses serious safety risks to students, including the potential for electric shock, burns, or other injuries. Tampering with electronic devices is never safe and should not be taken lightly.
We are asking parents and guardians to talk with their children about the dangers of participating in or promoting harmful online trends. Please encourage them to think critically about the content they encounter on social media and to make choices that reflect respect for themselves, others, and our learning environment.
If you become aware of any students engaging in or planning this kind of behavior, please report it to school staff or administration. Working together, we can ensure a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all students.
Thank you for your continued support.
