Please make note of the following procedures when it comes to traffic flow at Conneaut High School. The front traffic loop on Mill Street is reserved for bus traffic ONLY. All car traffic should flow through the back of the building. Please enter the parking lot from Chestnut Street, pick up/drop off your student at the corner of the building near the cafeteria, and exit onto Jackson Street. These procedures will keep car and bus traffic separate and provide a safe environment for our students to arrive and depart from school. Thank you!

ATTENTION PARENTS: Please disregard any contact made by Apptegy (our attendance calling system) in regards to absences today - Monday, January 24, 2022. For some reason, they received information concerning absences and calls were made to some homes even though students were not scheduled today. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will look into the reason it occurred and correct the situation for any future non-student days. Thank you!

As we prepare for remote learning, you may find the following information helpful. Students should have received work today, or work will be posted tomorrow in Google Classroom for Friday, January 7. There will be no live instruction tomorrow. Next week, January 10-14, students will be expected to log into their classes each period from 8:00am-12:00pm. The schedule of class times can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1glyjzH7qcahxhYtVBfj6Vong7hiTzjncFhNqr9Lrdn0/edit?usp=sharing Students are required to attend all scheduled classes each day, as period attendance will be taken. They should be prepared to participate in class, remain in the Google Meet throughout the class period, and turn in any assigned work on time. A-Tech students will still be attending school in-person, and shuttle buses will be running as usual.

Good morning, CHS families. We would like to share some information with you regarding the current social media trend of school violence that has been circulating on Tik Tok. There has also been a threatening social media post that was widely shared that references several schools by initials. We have no reason to believe there is any connection to schools in Conneaut or Ashtabula County. However, we have added extra police presence at the school today, and are increasing supervision throughout the day. The Conneaut Police Department completed a thorough search of the school this morning before students arrived. We are grateful for the cooperative efforts of our local law enforcement and school personnel. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school office at (440)593-7210.

It's cold outside... and with the cold, pests sometimes move inside. We are aware of the roach issue in some areas of CHS. We are working with a professional pest control company to take care of the issue. The pest control company is certified to safely use products in the school environment. Like many bugs and pests, roaches are cold-blooded and cannot survive in areas that are too cold or too hot. They need three things to survive ...warm shelter, food and water. The district recognizes the issue and we are taking care of it as quickly as possible. Thank you for your support and cooperation!
