There is a house fire which has caused streets to be closed in the area of Madison and Chestnut Streets. Busses may be running behind because of this. Also, students who walk will be arriving home later as well.
On Monday November 21, CACS district staff, in conjunction with the Conneaut Police Department and Community Counseling, will be conducting district wide school safety training. In order to train all district staff on this day, students will have to switch to a remote learning day. More information will follow but since we met and made this decision today we wanted to give our families time to make plans in advance. Parent/teacher conferences will still be held that evening beginning at 3:30. Thank you for you for your understanding and flexibility to allow us to conduct this necessary training.

Don't forget the 12th Annual Conneaut Spartans Whiteout Game and Tailgate party is this Friday, September 16th. The tailgate party is a free event to the youth of our community and is held from 4:30-6:30 followed by the Spartan Football game which kicks off at 7pm.
You can't have a Whiteout game without t-shirts! Shirts will be sold for $5 each at CMS and CHS on Thursday and Friday and are still for sale at Chris Brecht State Farm Insurance, 216 Main Street. A small number of shirts may be sold at the tailgate so get yours today before they run out. We want the home bleachers to be a WHITE OUT!

To help alleviate the cost of the Chicago Trip, the Conneaut Music Boosters are holding a Mattress Fundraiser on Saturday, September 17th. It will be located at Conneaut High School from 10 am -5 pm.
Bus stops are now available on our district website, bus numbers will be posted the week of the 29th.
On Aug 22nd all student passwords for all district accounts will be updated. Your students building will be providing their new passwords when Chromebooks are distributed.

Pre-sale tickets will be sold tonight from 6-8pm inside Corlew Stadium
or tomorrow from 2-4:30pm at the Edgewood Athletic Office. Pre-sale tickets are $5 for students and $6 for adults.

A later start for students also means a later start for staff. Our administrators just returned this week and the administrative assistants will report on Monday. For now here is some preliminary information that we can share:
September 1-First Student/Teacher Contact Day. Students with their parents/guardians will meet with teachers, receive Chromebooks, complete paperwork and receive initial assignments.
Lakeshore and Gateway students will receive assigned times in the mail sometime next week.
CMS and CHS students are to report on Sept 1 between 4 pm -7pm.
September 6-First student day with bussing. Building times will be close to what they were last year and will be announced next week. Routes will be posted by Aug 20 and will be adjusted as needed.

So far, we have about 1/3 of our families who have completed their FinalForms documents online. THANK YOU! Please do not worry about the student signatures. We will complete those in the classrooms once they are back in the buildings. All households should have received an account confirmation email from FinalForms (check spam/junk if you did not). We are asking all our remaining families to please click the link in the email you were sent and follow the steps to login and access your student(s) and complete the forms. Thank you for helping us get this project completed in a timely manner. We would like to reach 100% participation by Monday!
