The Ohio General Assembly amended Ohio’s accountability law in the summer of 2021. Schools and districts now receive an overall rating and star ratings for five components. Report Cards are designed to give parents, communities, educators and policymakers information about the performance of districts and schools — to celebrate achievement and success and identify areas for improvement. The information provides clear and easily available reporting on student performance, drives local conversations on school improvement and identifies schools to receive supports for getting better. The goal is to ensure all students receive an excellent education that can lead to success in life, careers and future learning.

Conneaut Area City School's overall rating was a 3-star which means the district meets state standards. Overall as a district, in the area of progress, the district received 4 stars, meaning there is significant evidence that the district exceeded student growth expectations. Areas identified in the spring as goals for the 23-24 school year in chronic absenteeism, early literacy, and the graduation rate, were the same areas outlines as areas for improvement on the report card. Plans are underway to work with the staff and state support team to address these shortfalls and close the gap for all students.
